Peter Capaldi Is the Twelfth Doctor

A while back, Matt Smith announced that he would be leaving Doctor Who  at the end of this year. This left many Whovians asking, "Who is the next Doctor?" After months of anticipation and speculation, the BBC has finally answered us. They announced last Sunday that the Twelfth Doctor would be played by Peter Capaldi. Capaldi has been a Doctor Who  fan for quite some time, and he even sent the BBC a letter asking them to make more episodes when he was fifteen years-old. He appeared on the British sci-fi classic before in "The Fires of Pompeii" when David Tennant was the Doctor. Peter Capaldi is most famous for his role as Malcom Tucker on The Thick of It on BBC Two. He also starred as a W.H.O. doctor in the recent zombie-thriller World War Z . Coincidence? I think not. Most long-time Whovians have welcomed Capaldi into the Doctor Who  universe, but some newer fans are a little skeptical.
